RTIC Outdoors, based in Cypress, Texas, launched as an online, direct to consumer retailer focused on heavy duty coolers. As its business grew rapidly, it expanded into drinkware, travel accessories and more, and it needed a brick-and mortar retail space where customers could experience the new products.

 

PDG Architects designed the 10,000 square foot RTIC flagship store in Cypress as a destination place where the customer can see demonstrations, vignettes of tailgate parties, campsites, and outdoor themed activities to check out the products. Using large expanses of durable, simple materials like aluminum, exposed concrete, and reclaimed wood, the design is reflective of the company’s brand “Over Built – Not Over Priced".

 

Attached to the retail store is 146,000 SF of high-pile warehouse space to support retailer’s online operations.
