Galveston Courthouse & Post Office

Galveston, Texas

The Galveston Courthouse and Post Office, built in 1936, sustained severe water damage in 2008 as a result of Hurricane Ike. PDG conducted a thorough site investigation and assessment of storm damages as related to the building interior, exterior, MEP, and structural systems, and we provided the professional services required to restore this historical building to a fully functioning facility as quickly and as effectively as possible. Working in collaboration with the GSA and the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO), we completed full construction documentation for the major renovation to the building and its new central plant building.
